Become, the charity for children in care and young care leavers
At Become, we believe in the potential of all children and young people who spend time in care. Our mission is to provide help, support and advice to children in care and young care leavers, so that they can take control of their lives and unleash their potential. At Become, across all our programmes of work, staff build young people's emotional wellbeing, resilience and self-worth, to help them live powerfully and purposefully.
Our services include a free advice line and targeted magazines for children and young people in care, and one-to-one personal development sessions for young care leavers. In partnership with young people with experience of care, we work to improve the system by ensuring that their voices and perspectives shape policy and service provision.
With the right support and people who believe in them, we know that even the lives of the most vulnerable and traumatised children and young people can be turned around. We help young people move towards becoming the person they are meant to be - towards a life well lived.

THE BORN FREE FOUNDATION
The Born Free Foundation is an international wildlife charity founded by Virginia McKenna, Bill Travers and their eldest son Will following Bill and Virginia’s starring roles in the classic film Born Free.
Today the Foundation is devoted to wild animal welfare and compassionate conservation, working to save animal lives, stop suffering, rescue individuals and protect rare species. Our charity is determined to end captive animal exploitation, phase out zoos and keep wildlife in the wild.
We take action for lions, bears, elephants, gorillas, tigers, wolves, dolphins, turtles, British wildlife and much more and work with local communities to find solutions to help people and wildlife live together without conflict.
